Scones

Ingredients
- 3 cups All-Purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 25 grams butter
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Sift together dry ingredients
- Rub in butter thoroughly until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs
- Add milk and mix into a soft dough
- Turn out onto a lightly-floured surface and kneed until the mixture comes together
- Roll out to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick slab and cut out scones with a biscuit cutter
- Place on a greased and floured tray
- Bake for 10-15 minutes in a 450ºF oven until golden-brown
Notes
- This is a basic recipe that you can add sugar, fruit, or cheese to liven it up
- Mix the scone batter lightly but quickly. Over handling will result in a tougher product
