Simply the Best Overnight Buns
This is a family favourite for large gatherings and reunions. Makes a sweet, white bun that is perfect for any sidedish

Ingredients

package
Quick Rise yeast
1
cup
white sugar
1
egg
1
tbsp
salt
1
cup
vegetable oil
4
cups
warm water
12-13
cups
All-Purpose flour
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together oil, warm water, egg, sugar, and salt
Mix yeast and flour together in a separate bowl
Gradually add the flour mixture to the liquid ingredients
Pour the combined dough onto a lightly-floured surface
Knead dough for 10 minutes, or until it has reached a very smooth consistency
Divide the dough into as many portions as you have bowls
Place the dough in greased bowls, cover with tea towels, and let rest for 15 minutes
Punch down the dough, then let rise for an hour
After the hour, punch down the dough again and shape into buns
Place the buns close together in a baking sheet
Cover and let rise overnight
Bake at 350ºF for 20 minutes
Notes
This recipe also makes amazing cinnamon buns, at the last rising stage, stack the buns into a bundt pan and add brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter
