Ingredients

All-Purpose flour

milk

Instructions
Sift together dry ingredients
Rub in butter thoroughly until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs
Add milk and mix into a soft dough
Turn out onto a lightly-floured surface and kneed until the mixture comes together
Roll out to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick slab and cut out scones with a biscuit cutter
Place on a greased and floured tray
Bake for 10-15 minutes in a 450ºF oven until golden-brown
Notes
This is a basic recipe that you can add sugar, fruit, or cheese to liven it up
Mix the scone batter lightly but quickly. Over handling will result in a tougher product
