Aunt Marilyn’s Carrot Cassrole

  • 1 bag frozen sliced carrots
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup maragarine
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Cheez Whiz
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • ground pepper, to taste


  • Fry the chopped onion and margarine in a frying pan 
  • Stir in the Cream of Mushroom soup and Cheez Whiz
  • Heat the sauces and stir until well-mixed
  • Add the frozen carrots to a casserole pan
  • Pour the sauce over the carrots and mix together
  • Sprinkle breadcrumb over the top of the casserole
  • Bake in a 300ºF oven for 30 minutes


  • You can, and possibly should, make this with fresh carrots. To my knowledge this has never been done.
