Aunt Marilyn’s Carrot Cassrole
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen sliced carrots
- 3 onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup maragarine
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1 cup Cheez Whiz
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Fry the chopped onion and margarine in a frying pan
- Stir in the Cream of Mushroom soup and Cheez Whiz
- Heat the sauces and stir until well-mixed
- Add the frozen carrots to a casserole pan
- Pour the sauce over the carrots and mix together
- Sprinkle breadcrumb over the top of the casserole
- Bake in a 300ºF oven for 30 minutes
Notes
- You can, and possibly should, make this with fresh carrots. To my knowledge this has never been done.
