Teeny-Weenie Beet Pickles
Ingredients

quart
beets
small
2
cups
sugar
4
cups
vinegar
whole cloves
Instructions
Add beets to a pot and cover with 1 inch of water. Boil until tender.
In another pot, boil vinegar and sugar together for 5 minutes, then add drained beets to this pot.
In sterilized jars, place 3 cloves in each, and add beets and juice to within 1/4" of top. Seal.
Notes
If small beets are not available, larger ones can be cut up.
