This looks like a dog’s breakfast but it’s amazingly-tasty comfort food

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef, medium or lean
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup macaroni noodles
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large port, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat
  • Add the onion, celery, garlic, and green pepper. Saute until the vegetables are softened
  • Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, and oregano
  • Once the mixture is hot, add in the uncooked macaroni and stir occasionally while it cooks. If the mix gets too dry, add water
  • Once the macaroni is cooked, add the Parmesan and cheddar cheese. Continue stirring until all the cheese is melted
  • Before serving, taste and adjust seasonings if needed
